A construction company requires a number of full time builders to join their existing team.

As a general builder you will have the opportunity to progress into project management roles.

General builders are required to work across the West Midlands performing different tasks on both residential and commercial properties. This can range from minor home repairs to full residential and commercial refurbishments. This company is looking for all-round tradesmen with a proven track record of performing tasks in the building trade to a great standard.

Full Time Chef

Job Description

Erdington, Birmingham 

 

A fast food restaurant requires a Chef to join their fast food restaurant and prepare delicious food unique to their pizza brand.

The Chef's duties include creating and cooking meals unique to their brand.

Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations. If you have experience with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you’ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights their customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales

• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients

• Cook food in a timely manner

• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff

• Ensure appealing plate presentation

• Supervise Cooks and assist as needed

• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)

• Monitor food stock and place orders

• Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items

• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Skills & Experience:

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook

• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)

• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques

• Leadership skills

• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks

• Excellent time management abilities

• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

• Familiarity with sanitation regulations

• Related certification is a bonus

Salary Offered: Negotiable dependent on experience.

Working Hours: 40 - 46 hours a week, Rota based

Fast Food RestauRANT

Full Time Head Chef

Job Description

Erdington, Birmingham 

 

A fast food restaurant requires a Head Chef to join their team and prepare delicious food unique to their pizza brand.

They are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organize the kitchen’s activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.


Responsibilities

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems or defects
  • Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Oversee  the work of subordinates
  • Estimate  staff’s workload and compensations
  • Maintain  records of payroll and attendance
  • Comply  with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster  a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers

Requirements and skills

  • Proven  experience as Head Chef
  • Exceptional  proven ability of kitchen management
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding  communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date  with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Good  understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant  management software, POS)
  • Credentials  in health and safety training
  • Degree  in Culinary science or related certificate a bonus

Event Management

Full Time Events Organisers

Job Description

Great Barr, Birmingham 

 

An Event Management Company requires a number of event organisers.

They will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:

Plan and organise promotional, business, community, and social events. They will be responsible for running a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. Events play a huge part in the success of a brand, organisation or individual clients.

As an event manager, they will organise conferences, seminars, exhibitions, as well as parties, weddings, networking events, as well as social and corporate incentive trips and social functions.

They will manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and will often involve working as part of a team. 

The event managers will typically organise and run business and social events specific to the clients’ needs and wants. They will also when required be able to source suitable venues, advertise the planned events and perform additional tasks necessary to run an event smoothly and end it successfully. 

As an event manager, they will need to:

  • liaise      with clients to find out their exact event requirements
  • produce      detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers,      legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
  • research      venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire
  • manage      and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue,      catering, travel)
  • liaise      with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event (for our      business/corporate clients)
  • manage      all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and delegate packs
  • coordinate      suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event      to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • manage      a team of staff, giving full briefings
  • organise      facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid,      hospitality and if applicable the media
  • make      sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
  • oversee      the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  • produce      post-event evaluation to inform future events
  • research      opportunities for new clients and events


As an event manager, they may often work with many clients in a wide range of industries. Whilst the requirements may differ from one job to another, their responsibilities mainly stay the same. It's important to offer all our clients consistent service.


Salary Offered: £26,500 per annum dependant on experience.

Working Hours: 40 - 44 hours a week
